Oracle OpenWorld & JavaOne 2011 Day One

The Oracle OpenWorld conference kicked off this evening in San Francisco with keynote presentation from Oracle CEO Larry Ellison. There he unveiled Next-Generation SPARC SuperCluster T4-4, introduced the Oracle Exalytics Business Intelligence Machine and much more. Several use cases from Cialis major world companies were also presented, who use Oracle’s finest technologies (Exadata and Exalogic) to power their SOA/BPEL information systems in order to achieve greater performance, availability and lesser cost.

JavaOne and Oracle Open World 2011

I’m currently at the Oracle HQ at the product briefings and I can tell you that there will be big news, both for Java, and for other Oracle products, such as SOA, BPM, and particularly Cloud (unfortunately I cannot disclose any information due to NDA).

Presentation at OpenBlend

Today, we had a presentation on SOA Architectural Patterns on the OpenBlend conference, which took place where to buy levitra cheap at Ljubljana Castle. There were a lot of participants. An amazing event, very recommended!


Last week on July 6-8, 2011, three members of our team have attended Best Student Recognition Event, held in IBM innovation center in La Gaude, France. Along with more than seventy students from all over Europe, Middle East and Africa, we were given a unique opportunity to hear from IBM executives and experts on IBM Smarter Planet strategy, their innovative solutions and technologies.

IMPACT 2011 – Participation of our team

On the second day of conference our Cloud Computing Centre had presentation with the topic “Mobitel’s Next Generation Order & Service Provisioning Management Platform” in cooperation with Swami Chandrasekaran.

Presentation was presented by our SOA experts Matej Hertis and Martin Potocnik who talked about how Mobitel created a new customer Order & Service Provisioning Management Platform. Highlights of the session included how Mobitel reduced its order fulfillment cycle time, gained visibility into order’s and automated manually-intensive processes.

I also would like to mention that it’s wonderful to see other Slovenian companies which participated and added extra value to this conference. The presentations are following:

IMPACT 2011 – Conference has been kicked off

On Monday, April 11th 2011, IBM officially started one of the biggest international conferences, Impact 2011: Optimize for Growth. Deliver Results.
The conference was opened by IBM executives Jon Iwata and Nancy Pearson who took the audience on a journey through IBM’s 100 years of renovations. In this way the session focused both on IBM’s history of innovation, and on how this history positions IBM to help business become more agile in today’s marketplace.
